Meet Chris and Terry
We are both registered with the Driving Standards Agency as an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor). We offer a professional and friendly service.
Chris has been a driving instructor since 2006, prior to this he worked in the training departments of some large companies, so becoming a driving instructor was an easy choice for Chris, so he brings a wealth of knowledge about training; he easier recognises that we all have individual learning styles, and adapts his teaching style to suit the individual.
As well as helping people to get through their driving test, Chris is a committee member of the local driving instructor, this keeps all driving instructors informed of any changes; he writes for a news paper, and coaches company car driver to enable companies to reduce the risks of company car driving.
Terry has been a driving instructor since 2007, prior to joining Chris’s School Of Motoring/Peacock Driving School; Terry worked for one of the larger driving schools, so draws on many years of coaching from a large training school. With a good sense of humour terry soon puts you at ease, whist delivering the highest standard of tuition. Terry’s passion for driving combined with your desire to pass will soon have you through your test.
The car that you learn in; is the one that the one that you will take your test, you can choose from a Toyota Yaris, or a Vauxhall Corsa.

It’s a very easy car to drive with good all round vision for your comfort and safety this car as loads of features
- Visibility the Yaris offers a fantastic driving position the seats move up and down to suit any size person without compromising the driver view
- Electric power steering this is lighter than normal power steering so when you are driving or doing your manoeuvres it will make it easier for you.
It has an adjustable steering column so it will lift, or lower move in or out to suit everybody’s driving position
- Air conditioning this will help to keep you comfortable while you are in the car, with its clean air filters.
· The Electronic Brake Force Distribution allows you to brake safely and quickly without skidding or being thrown forward
· Air Bags Front seat side-impact and full-size curtain airbags
- Fitted with He-Man dual controls This will allow me to take control of the car if needed
